Join us for Superbugs at the Olympics, a free community event hosted by the IMB Centre for Superbug Solutions during Antibiotic Awareness Week.

By creating the world’s first molecule bank, IMB scientists are working with industry and institutional partners to crowdsource antibiotic compounds, aiming to seek out new antibiotics and prevent the proliferation of drug-resistant superbugs.

Paralympian Chris Bond was 19 when a severe bacterial infection in his bowel spread through his body and sent him into septic shock. Today, on World Sepsis Day (13 September), Chris is working with IMB's Community for Open Antimicrobial Drug Discovery (CO-ADD) to bring attention to the multidrug-resistant bacteria that nearly took his life.
