Thank you for your lasting contribution to the fabric of UQ’s research mission.
More than two decades ago, with funding from the Queensland Government, philanthropist Chuck Feeney and The University of Queensland, the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB) set out on a bold mission to position Queensland as the epicentre for drug discovery. Whether it be for inflammatory or infectious diseases such as COVID-19, cancer, chronic pain, stroke or diseases in plants, IMB is where drug discovery and cures begin.
Our community of alumni and past staff are at the heart of the extraordinary success attained by IMB. Together, you have sought to address some of the world’s most wicked problems. Where many have continued in academia, others have sought an alternate pathway; but your networks and friendships built at the IMB are integral to your collective success.
We are deeply grateful to our community who have left an indelible mark on scientific knowledge and remain beacons of inspiration for our next generation of scientists and change makers.
As we set a collective journey this year to reflect on the impact and contribution of the institute’s research pursuits since 2000, it is a poignant time to connect with each of you and learn how your career journey has evolved. We look forward to celebrating with as many of our alumni – our IMBers – to shine a light on the people who have pursued pathways to create change.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have regarding our Advancement programs within the Institute.
