If you have a specific analysis need, it is highly likely that someone has already created code / a function that you can use. There is a community called Matlab Central where developers post solutions, and answer questions. There are a lot of resources to help you from simple questions to complex questions.

Matlab at UQ comes with support so if you have questions you cannot find the answers to, create a new MathWorks account using your UQ email address and you can ask questions of a Mathworks expert who will be able to help you with your image analysis programming questions.
