I graduated UQ with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons).

Why did you choose IMB to undertake your research?

IMB is a world class research institute conducting new and exciting, high impact research. It's such a great environment for learning and the people here are fantastic and are at the top of their game.

Do you have any tips for future students interested in life sciences research?

There are so many new and exciting areas of research out there just waiting for you - just figure out what it is you're interested in and there is always a niche out there catered to you!

What research are you currently working on?

I work on the molecular mechanisms behind how white blood cells regulate inflammation - precisely, how a cellular compartment called the macropinosome contributes to the affecting this response.

What interested you in joining the IMB Science Ambassador Program?

I was keen to share my passion of science with others and advocate for the amazing research we do here. Not a lot of people know what we do at our lab benches and its time they found out!

What do you enjoy doing out of free time?

I like Netflixing and chilling. Lots of napping, especially with my cat. And tagging my friends in memes.
