Deb GwynneQ&A with Deb Gwynne,
IMB Administrative Officer

How long have you been with IMB?

Just over 3 months, however I was here from 2009-2014 working as admin support for Group Grimmond.

What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?

There’s no such thing as a typical day in this role (one of the reasons that I like it). I’m currently entering Summer Students in webDB.

What aspects of your role do you enjoy the most?

Assisting others and the variety of the tasks.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Spending time with family and friends and taking the dog for a walk. My daughter moved to Hervey Bay in January 2017 so I’ve spent many weekends visiting her.

What places have you lived in?

I have always lived in Australia (Nowra, Brisbane, Coffs Harbour and Quilpie). I was born in Nowra NSW and lived there for the first 7 years of my life – then moved to Brisbane and have since discovered that Chris Barnett and I lived on the same street, Sue Allen lived in the same suburb, and we all went to the same primary school!

Tell us something about yourself that may surprise us?

My first job was as a hairdressing apprentice and I love watching cooking shows on tv even though I rarely cook (not sure what that’s about!)
