Every cure starts with a scientific discovery by someone who imagined a better future. At the Institute for Molecular Bioscience our goal is to create a better future by making breakthrough discoveries to improve health and wellbeing. Like a treatment for chronic pain, a cure for antibiotic resistant superbugs and so much more. In order for us to achieve this goal, we rely on partners to help us realise our research.
- Professor Ian Henderson, Director, IMB
"Philanthropy allows us to pursue the really exciting ideas and enables agility in our efforts to drive discovery. It is key in translating investigations from the bench to the bedside for broad impact."

"One of the biggest challenges at the current time is funding for our research. It’s very important we look at alternative sources of funding such as philanthropy, without which we really wouldn’t be able to do the incredible work that’s going on here at the IMB."
