Join us for a powerful afternoon of conversation and connection this International Women’s Day

Date: Monday, April 14, 2025
Time: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, followed by afternoon tea at 3:00 PM
Location: Level 3

This year, in celebration of the invaluable contributions of women and gender-diverse people at IMB we are proud to host a panel discussion that will focus on gender equality, challenges, and the paths to success. The conversation will inspire us to #AccelerateAction and work together to forge a more inclusive, equitable world for all.

Join the conversation on driving gender equity not just within the workplace but also in our communities through equitable research translation. Our panelists will include:

  • Elizabeth Watson-Brown (MP for Ryan, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects)
  • Prof Denise Doolan (Deputy Director Research at IMB)
  • Prof Kate Schroeder (Group Leader at IMB)
  • Prof Matt Sweet  (Group Leader and Director of HDR at IMB)
  • Prof Nathan Palpant  (Group Leader at IMB)

Following the panel, enjoy a light afternoon tea while participating in a special fundraiser for Dressed for Success. This incredible organisation empowers unemployed and underemployed women to achieve economic independence through no-cost programs that offer support, mentorship, and resources for career success.

How can you get involved?

  • Participate: Come along and support your collagues and friends at this event by learning more about the issues and hand and being a supportive ally.
  • Donate: All proceeds from the morning tea will go to Dressed for Success to continue their vital work.

Let's make this International Women’s Day a moment of action and change.
