The IMB Advisory Board is chaired by an independent person, and comprises external and university members.

The board provides guidance on the successful operation of the institute as a world class research organisation, with respect to its research, commercialisation and engagement activities, specifically:

  • Strategic planning
  • Financial sustainability
  • Strong and ethical governance
  • Research priorities and research excellence
  • Translation and commercialisation.
  • Communications
  • Partnership and engagement
  • Philanthropy

Board members are unpaid volunteers who bring a wide variety of skill and expertise to the role. The Board meets at least four times every year to actively engage with management early in major strategic planning processes, thus providing early and continues advice and guidance during plan development and implementation.
