Masters by Coursework Research Project

The University of Queensland offers a number of coursework Masters programs in the area of Molecular Bioscience, including;

• Master of Molecular Biology (MMolBiol)
• Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech)
• Master of Bioinformatics (MBioinf)

All of these programs incorporate optional research modules (of 2, 4, 8 and even 16 units), which can be undertaken within selected IMB Research Groups. Please note that Masters research projects are not advertised, but are negotiated on a case-by-case basis between the applicant (you) and an IMB Group Leader. 

The strategy for choosing (and being chosen by) an advisor, and selecting a project, is very similar to that followed by prospective PhD candidates.
